The Presidency has just said that Buhari will be in Poland to attend the 24th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP24) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It takes place from December 2-4, 2018, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina. The COP24 Summit, which will be held at the International Conference Centre and the adjacent Spodek Arena in Katowice, is being convened under the Presidency of Poland. According to the organisers, the conference is expected to finalise the rules for the implementation of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change under the Paris Agreement Work Programme (PAWP) – the rule book for implementation. 73 parties field candidates for 2019 presidential election —INEC BTS MEDIA  November 30,2018  The Independent National Electoral Commission has said that a total of 73 political parties fielded candidates for 2019 presidential election, as the deadline for withdrawal and substitution of candidates for the election draws near. The National Chairman of INEC,  Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, disclosed this at the opening ceremony of a two-day capacity building workshop for journalists on Friday in Abuja. The Head of Media of the Board, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, announced this while addressing newsmen during the conduct of promotion exercise for the Nigerian Customs Service at the board’s Computer Based Test Centre in Abuja. According to Benjamin, no specific date has been fixed for the commencement of the registration yet.
