2019: ELECTION IS ‘FREEDOM FROM BONDAGE IN LAGOS – Jimi Agbaje
The federal house of representative, Ikorodu constituency candidate of the PDP, Hon. Popoola Omotolani flagged off her campaign on Sunday 9th December at Ikorodu, Lagos State.
          The event which had in attendance party leaders, the Party Governorship candidate as well as the party members was a good opportunity for Lagos PDP to show that they are ready to end the reign of the ruling party, the APC in the state.
          The Governorship candidate, ‘Jimi Agbaje’ was impressed with the large turnout of party member. He said the election for 2019 is a “Freedom from Bandage” from the present government of the state.

He described Hon. Popoola as a candidate with a very great capacity, saying the party trusted in her capacity to give better representation to Ikorodu constituency in the house of representative.
          Speaking, Hon. Popoola said she is contesting the seat to bring development to Ikorodu constituency
"I will raise new bill and support the existing bills that will support free education at all level within the entire local government area.
“ I will sponsor and support bills that will gives blueprint of quality representation to my generation in order to benefit good and balance governance which will enable brighter future for all “ she added.
One of my top most and sincere desire is to create employment through skills acquisition jobs creation and invest on small and medium scale Business. Taking good care of the Old-ones shall I properly pay attention to.
“I will support my good people of my Federal constituency. She added that she will show case our distinct and diverse Ikorodu culture and tradition through the establishment of facilities needed.
The candidate urged people of Ikorodu to give her the required support, promising not to disappoint if elected.

          Speaking with other dignities at the event, the PDP Chairman of Ikorodu Lacol Government, Chief Taiwo Adekobge, said, the candidate has been a very good party member even when she won the last election of the chancellorship and She was denied, She still stay with the party and party members.
          I urge the people of Ikorodu to get their PVC to vote for PDP as the party would not disappoint them in 2019.

Ngige clarifies govt stand on minimum wage Published  26 January, 2019  Dr. Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment says the minimum wage of N27, 000 is standard for all workers, but the Federal Government will pay federal workers N30,000. The minister made this known in a statement signed by Mrs lliya Rhoda, Assistant Director, Press, of the ministry in Abuja on Saturday. According to the minister, President Muhammadu Buhari constituted a Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage in November 2017 to consider the issue and recommend a new national minimum wage.
