Osinbajo storms Kwara with TraderMoni

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has landed in Kwara State as part of the activities marking the disbursement of the TraderMoni — a financial scheme of the Federal Government.
The VP arrived to a rousing welcome in Ipata market in Ilorin, Kwara State capital on Friday, where he has been scheduled to launch the N10,000 collateral-free, interest-free TraderMoni for petty traders in the state.
The interest-free loan is being disbursed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for 39,000 petty traders in the Federal Capital Territory.
The disbursement is part of the current administration’s drive to empower over two million petty traders across the country through a commercial loan scheme tagged the TraderMoni scheme.
The scheme, being implemented by the Bank of Industry, allows each beneficiary to get an interest-free loan of between N10,000 and N15,000.
The interest-free loan is part of the social intervention programmes of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

The resolution was made after the federal lawmakers adopted the report of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund. The committee’s chairman, Jibrin Barau, presented the report for consideration. The 10 new higher institutions approved by the Senate include one polytechnic to be located in the hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari, Daura in Katsina State.
